Elementary

In-Class Workshops

Let us come to you! Our team of professional educators lead dynamic workshops consisting of exciting demonstrations and interactive experiments using our unique wind, solar and biogas models. Workshops are linked to STEM curriculum and provide a comprehensive introduction to a unit or reinforce lessons already covered.

Workshop duration: 2.5 hours

Build a model wind turbine and use it as a simple circuit to power a LED bulb

Students will build their own working renewable energy models through assistance with our expert facilitators

Field Trips

We provide opportunities for students to get outside and witness the power of renewable energy first hand. Located at Exhibition Place, in central Toronto, field trips include a hands-on workshop, tour of the WindShare turbine or rooftop solar array and a fact-finding treasure hunt.

Field Trip duration: 2 hours
Our trips are available in the fall and spring. We offer custom excursions for all grade levels.

Festival

Kids' World of Energy Festival

Every May, our annual Festival hosts more than 2,500 students and adults - offering unique, hands-on workshops focusing on renewable energy, energy conservation and environmental topics. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience!

Community Events

Bring us to your community! We deliver our interactive energy workshops and games at events across Ontario. We also provide customized tours of renewable energy projects for people of all ages in the Toronto area.
